In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team, will lead the development and delivery of organisation wide budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate financial insights and stakeholder reporting to support strategic decision making.
This role will see you provide leadership in budget governance, expenditure management and financial performance reporting, enabling the effective allocation of resources and supporting the achievement of organisational objectives.
You will drive the planning, monitoring and analysis of capital works and operating budgets, providing financial modelling, variance analysis, funding recommendations and budget submissions for executive, Treasury and Cabinet stakeholders.

About you
You are a finance professional with at least 5 years' experience in delivering high quality operational and capital budgeting, forecasting and financial management reporting within a government organisation, providing accurate, timely and strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders.
You possess highly developed analytical, problem solving and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information, identify trends and risks, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations. Experience using Treasury Prime or similar financial systems is highly regarded.
You are a detail focused and analytical thinker with the ability to interpret complex financial information, build strong stakeholder relationships, and deliver accurate, high quality financial outcomes in a fast paced environment.
You are a qualified finance professional with relevant tertiary qualifications and membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CA, CPA or equivalent), supported by extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial management.
