Installer – NSW Licensed Electrician | Solar & Battery

AG Solar is looking for a NSW Licensed Electrician to join our Solar & Battery Installation Team.
Whether you’ve recently become licensed or already have solar experience, this is a role where you can build your skills, take on more responsibility and work towards running your own crew.
There is a clear pathway from Installer to Team Leader for the right person.
You’ll work alongside experienced solar and battery installers across residential and commercial projects throughout Sydney and the Illawarra, with the training and support to develop into a confident Team Leader.
What you’ll be doing
- Installing residential and commercial solar systems
- Installing home battery systems and associated electrical equipment
- Working with solar panels, inverters, switchboards and monitoring systems
- Completing electrical upgrades and installation works
- Testing, commissioning and fault-finding systems
- Working safely at heights and on residential roofs
- Communicating professionally with customers on site
- Learning how to plan, organise and eventually lead installations
The pathway
We want people who are looking for more than just another electrical job.
As you develop, we’ll support you to build the skills required to become an AG Solar Team Leader, including:
- Planning and running installations
- Managing an installation crew
- Reading and reviewing system designs
- Communicating with customers on site
- Completing commissioning and handover requirements
- Maintaining quality and safety standards
If you’re capable, reliable and ready to step up, there is room to progress.
What we’re looking for
- Unrestricted NSW Electrical Licence
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Strong electrical fundamentals
- Comfortable working at heights and on roofs
- Reliable and able to work well as part of a crew
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication with customers and teammates
- Pride in the quality of your work
- Solar and battery experience is highly regarded but not essential
- Working at Heights accreditation preferred
- Solar accreditation or experience is a bonus
What you’ll get
- $50 per hour + Super + Travel Allowance, depending on experience
- Monthly performance bonus
- $4,000 sign-on bonus:
- $500 after 2 weeks
- $1,500 after 3 months
- $2,000 after 6 months

You don’t need to know everything on day one.
We’re looking for someone with a solid electrical foundation, a good attitude and the drive to become excellent at solar and battery installations.
If you’re newly licensed, we can help you build your solar and battery experience.
If you already have experience, we can help you take the next step towards leading your own crew.
