The Senior Client Relationship Manager is responsible for leading and managing MetLife Australia's strategic partnership with one of Australia's leading superannuation funds, ensuring the delivery of exceptional client outcomes, sustainable growth and long-term commercial success. Guided by our purpose — always with you, building a more confident future — and our New Frontier strategy, this role serves as the primary relationship lead for one of MetLife's most significant client partnerships.
Working across a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, you will develop and execute strategic account plans, lead cross-functional delivery teams, and drive client engagement, governance and business performance. This role plays a critical part in strengthening client relationships, delivering mutual value and supporting MetLife's continued growth within the group insurance market.

Lead the super fund partnership strategy, developing and executing holistic account plans that deliver client objectives, retention outcomes and profitable growth for MetLife.

Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary relationship lead across the fund and representing MetLife across all aspects of the partnership.

Coordinate cross-functional delivery and governance, ensuring alignment across internal teams and maintaining effective governance frameworks to support strategic and operational objectives.

Drive commercial performance, overseeing renewals, tenders, re-rates and business opportunities while partnering with Product, Pricing, Underwriting and Operations teams to achieve sustainable outcomes.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, leveraging stakeholder feedback, performance insights, data analytics and emerging technologies to enhance client experience, operational efficiency and business outcomes.

Significant experience in client relationship management, account management or strategic partnership roles within financial services, preferably life insurance or group insurance.

Strong understanding of group insurance products, client servicing models and commercial drivers within the superannuation and insurance sectors.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance drivers and influence business outcomes.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, influencing and negotiation skills, including experience working with executive stakeholders.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex client relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, opportunities and strategic solutions.

Comfort using AI-enabled and digital productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar) to support efficient work outcomes, with sound judgement and adherence to organisational policies, governance and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications -
University degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related discipline.

RG146 compliant (or equivalent industry accreditation).

Experience managing large strategic superannuation, trustee or group insurance client relationships.

Experience working closely with Product, Legal, Compliance, Pricing and Operations teams in a regulated financial services environment.

Experience using data, reporting and client insights to inform strategic decision-making and account growth initiatives.
