We are growing and looking for a reliable and caring Dental Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of the clinic, ensuring all administrative and support functions operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support the front desk and admin team, fostering a positive work culture and encouraging teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Patient Coordination: Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow, optimising the booking system to minimise wait times and enhance the patient experience.
- Assist dentists chairside during all dental procedures
- Prepare and set up treatment rooms and instruments
- Sterilisation and infection-control according to ADA standards
- Patient management: seating, preparing, post-operative instructions
- Taking X-rays (if certified) and assisting with digital imaging
- Maintaining accurate clinical notes and patient records
- Stock management, ordering materials, and clinic organisation
- Supporting reception when needed: scheduling, phone calls, payments
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment
- Delivering friendly, professional, and empathetic patient care
Requirements
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred (but training provided)
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred, not mandatory)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated
- Willingness to learn and grow within the practice
