About the Role
Western Water Solutions is seeking a motivated and reliable Wastewater Operator to join our growing team in Western Australia. This hands-on role involves the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and servicing of wastewater treatment systems across a range of municipal, commercial, and industrial sites.
The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure treatment systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plants and associated infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections, sampling, testing, and reporting
- Monitor plant performance and troubleshoot operational issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and operational procedures
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and team members
- Participate in emergency response and on-call duties where required
Skills & Experience
- Experience in wastewater treatment, water operations, plumbing, mechanical, or related industries preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently in remote and regional environments
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Relevant certifications or tickets highly regarded:
- Wastewater Operations Certificate
- Confined Space
- Working at Heights
- Forklift Licence
- First Aid

Regional Travel Requirements
This role involves regular travel to regional and remote locations throughout Western Australia. Candidates must be comfortable travelling for work and spending time away from home when required.
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
