We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our growing team.
About the role
The Data Analyst will collect, clean, analyse and interpret business, operational, HSEQ, quality and project performance data. The role will support Impact Plus and its clients by developing practical insights, reports, dashboards and recommendations that improve decision-making, risk management, compliance and operational performance.
This role is suited to a detail-oriented analyst with strong data, reporting and problem-solving skills who can work across multiple client projects and translate complex information into clear, practical business insights.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, clean, validate and analyse business, operational, HSEQ, quality and project performance data.
- Develop reports, dashboards, registers and analytical summaries for internal and client use.
- Analyse trends in incidents, audits, inspections, non-conformances, corrective actions, operational performance and project delivery.
- Identify data gaps, process inefficiencies, risk trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of performance indicators, reporting frameworks and data management processes.
- Prepare clear written reports, presentations and recommendations for managers, project teams and clients.
- Maintain accurate data records in line with document control and quality requirements.
- Support business systems, HSEQ systems, risk registers, audit findings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with consultants, project managers and client representatives to understand reporting needs and deliver useful insights.
- Assist with data migration, data capture, system improvement and reporting process improvements.
- Contribute to the development of templates, registers, dashboards and business improvement tools.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor degree or higher in statistics, data analytics, operations research, mathematics, business analytics, information systems, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years’ post-qualification experience in data analysis, business analysis, operational reporting, performance analysis, systems reporting or a related role.
- Strong skills in data collection, data cleaning, analysis, reporting and interpretation.
- Experience preparing management reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, registers and performance summaries.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to analyse trends, identify issues and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work with internal teams, clients and stakeholders across multiple projects.
Desirable
- Experience in construction, mining, resources, infrastructure, energy, utilities, consulting or professional services.
- Experience with HSEQ, quality, risk, audit, compliance or operational performance data.
- Experience using Power BI, Microsoft D365, SPSS, SQL, GIS, project reporting tools or other data/reporting platforms.
- Understanding of business systems, management systems, ISO standards, risk management or continuous improvement.
- Experience preparing client-facing reports and recommendations.
Pay: $71,608.38 – $124,969.66 per year
