About the Opportunity
As the business continues to grow, we are seeking an additional team member to support our operations.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Wool Store Operator to join our team in Corowa, NSW.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive team environment where you can develop your skills across wool handling, processing, marketing, and warehouse operations.
As a Wool Store Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting and assessing greasy wool
- Typing wool based on length, colour, evenness, vegetable matter content, and strength
- Stacking, sorting, and preparing wool for sale and processing
- Processing wool for internal and external markets
- Assisting with wool pick-ups as required
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing freight
- Supporting wool marketing activities
- Maintaining accurate records and completing administrative tasks
- Working collaboratively within a team-focused environment
- Contributing to a safe, efficient, and well-organised workplace
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Be a team player with a willingness to learn
- Hold a current Forklift Licence and have practical forklift operating experience
- Have wool classing, wool handling, or wool industry experience
- Be physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Be reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills
- Have basic administration and record-keeping abilities
- Hold unrestricted Australian work rights for ongoing employment
