Full service restaurant, cafe and licensed dining.
We are looking to immediately fill a permanent full-time position of Junior Chef.
The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes as per our standards
- Assisting in creating menus with flair and innovation having regard to our stock, season and patron preferences
- Monitoring stock level, preservation and rotation/ordering accordingly to ensure minimal wastage
- Assisting and training kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation, ingredients and cooking techniques
- Aiding in the selection and training of kitchen staff
- Managing kitchen staff if required
- Ensuring health regulations are met at all times by all kitchen staff
- Ensure patron satisfaction & experience by delivering dishes to expectation monitoring quality at all times
We require the following:
- Possess no less than 2 years of experience in a similar role if not qualified
- Be consistent and able to work well in a team
- Be able to perform well under pressure
- Cert III or/and cert IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management (preferred)
- Be consistent and able to work well in a team
- Be able to perform well under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $79,500.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kangaroo Point QLD 4169: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

- Restaurant experience: 1 year (Required)
