About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Quality & Impact, the Information Governance Officer is responsible for leading and embedding information governance practices across CatholicCare Tasmania.
You will provide expert advice on records management, privacy, compliance, and information governance while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and organisational practices. The role also oversees information lifecycle management, supports audit and compliance activities, and promotes best practice across the organisation.
About You
You are a proactive and solutions-focused professional with strong experience in information governance, records management, or a related field. You have the ability to interpret legislative requirements and translate them into practical organisational processes.
You will bring:
- Experience in information governance and records management within a complex organisation.
- Knowledge of privacy, records management, and archival legislation and requirements.
- Experience leading system, process, or compliance improvements.
- Strong digital literacy, including experience with EDRMS or similar systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to organisational governance, risk, and quality outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of CatholicCare Tasmania.
- Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in information governance, records management, information management, or a related discipline.
- Current National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (or ability to obtain).
