Ancestry is the UK and Ireland's largest family history website, with over 1 billion UK and Ireland genealogy records available to search. An upcoming project includes the digitisation of collections held by Penrith City Council Library . The first stage of this major project will focus on digitising original documents, taking place on site at Penrith City Council Library; Penrith, NSW.
What you will do
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment (training provided)
- Quality assure the resulting images
- Carry out minor document preparation as required and permitted by the archive

Desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in similar project work
- General knowledge/appreciation of history or genealogy
- General knowledge of photography
Contract: Temporary (project expected to last 8 months)
Rate: $28/hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, excluding meal breaks
Start date: 10th of August 2026
