Currently we are seeking an experienced and motivated Aftermarket Business Development Representative to aid grow our Queensland & Western Australia Aftermarket business unit through proactive customer engagement, relationship development, and solution-based selling.
This is a highly customer-facing role focused on identifying opportunities across spare parts, servicing, repairs, component rebuilds, preventative maintenance programs, and rental solutions. If you enjoy developing strong customer relationships and delivering commercial outcomes, this is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine impact within a market-leading business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Aftermarket Manager, you will be responsible for expanding market share, generating new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing customers.
You will engage with fleet operators, transport businesses, contractors, and industry stakeholders to understand their operational needs and provide practical aftermarket solutions that maximise equipment uptime and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow sales across spare parts, servicing, repairs, component rebuilds, maintenance programs, and rental solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Re-engage and retain key customer accounts.
- Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Promote the Drake brand and maintain a strong presence within the industry.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience in Business Development/Sales and Account Management
- Strong customer relationship and networking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and convert new opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer records.
Highly Regarded
- Experience within the heavy vehicle, transport, trailer, heavy manufacturing, or aftermarket industries.
- Spare parts interpretation or aftermarket sales experience.
- Trade background as a Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, or similar.
