Melton Christian College is seeking a Senior ICT Systems Administrator to join our growing ICT team. This is a key senior technical role where you'll be responsible for the ongoing management, security, and enhancement of the College's technology environment while contributing to major infrastructure and digital transformation projects.
Working closely with the ICT Manager, you will act as the team's technical lead and trusted expert, helping ensure our systems remain secure, reliable, and capable of supporting excellent teaching, learning, and business operations across the College.

The Opportunity
As the Senior ICT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the College's infrastructure, enterprise systems, cloud services, cybersecurity posture, and endpoint technologies. You will also play a major role in delivering ICT projects and providing advanced technical support across the organisation.
As a valued member of our team, you will
- Contribute positively to the culture, mission, and community of Melton Christian College.
- Administration and support of Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and related cloud services.
- Managing server infrastructure, virtual environments, enterprise applications and business critical systems.
- Supporting and optimising VMware, Hyper-V and Azure environments.
- Managing endpoint deployment and device management platforms including Intune, JAMF and Windows Autopilot.
- Leading complex troubleshooting, incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Supporting cybersecurity, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
- Contributing to strategic ICT projects, platform upgrades and technology improvements.
- Providing technical mentoring and guidance to ICT team members.
- Developing technical standards, documentation and operational procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an accomplished ICT professional with strong infrastructure and cloud experience, excellent problem solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional technology outcomes.
You will ideally bring:
- At least five year’s experience in a senior systems administration, infrastructure, or similar technical role.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- Extensive experience managing Microsoft 365 environments and cloud technologies.
- Strong expertise across server infrastructure, virtualisation, endpoint management and enterprise systems.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V and Azure environments.
- Knowledge of networking technologies including switching, routing, VLANs, wireless networks and security technologies.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation is highly regarded.
- A customer focused approach with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferred.
- Demonstrate alignment with the Christian ethos and expression of faith of the College.
- Be willing to undergo the required employment and child safety checks.
- Experience within a school or educational environment will be highly regarded.
