Grocer Attendant or Supervisor – Part Time or Full Time

We're looking for a warm, people-first person to join the team at Hillsdon Grocer, our neighbourhood grocer nestled alongside Abode Cafe at 30 Hillsdon Road, Taringa.

What you'll be doing
You'll be the face of the grocer, welcoming customers, sharing your enthusiasm for our range of quality produce and artisan products, keeping the floor presented beautifully, and making sure every person who walks in feels like a regular. You'll work closely alongside the Abode Cafe team, as part of a combined venue that takes hospitality seriously.
What we're looking for
- A genuine love of food, produce, and artisan products — you don't need to be an expert, but you need to be curious
- Warmth and confidence with people — you enjoy the conversation, not just the transaction
- A community mindset — you understand that regulars are the lifeblood of a place like this
- Reliability, pride in your work, and an eye for detail on the floor
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar role is valued, but we're open to all levels
The role
- Part time or full time depending on the right fit
- Shifts available between 9am–6pm, with a minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week up to 5
- 12 to 38 hours on a set roster.
