About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants with a range of disabilities in both community and home settings.
No two days are the same. You may be supporting someone to attend appointments, build life skills, participate in community activities, or work towards their personal goals while encouraging independence every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualised support in participants' homes and within the community.
- Encourage independence and assist participants to achieve their goals.
- Support participants with community access, social activities, appointments, and transport.
- Assist with daily living tasks and personal care as required.
- Build positive, professional relationships with participants, families, and allied health professionals.
- Complete accurate and detailed progress notes and documentation.
- Follow participant support plans, organisational policies, and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Promote participant choice, dignity, and inclusion at all times.

Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Minimum 1.5-2 years' experience working in disability support with participants living with disabilities, communication needs and/or complex behavioural needs.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Current South Australian driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong, professional and clear communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience supporting participants with complex support needs.
- Medication Administration Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Manual Handling training.
- Mental Health First Aid or relevant qualifications.
