ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS TUTORS REQUIRED — START ASAP
Pioneer Coaching & Development Centre is seeking enthusiastic and reliable English and Mathematics tutors to join our busy coaching centre in the heart of Quakers Hill, Sydney.
We are particularly seeking tutors who are available on Thursdays from 4:30 pm. Additional weekday and Saturday shifts are also available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will teach small groups of primary and secondary students using structured lesson plans and resources provided by the centre.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with young people, and can create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver engaging English and/or Mathematics lessons
- Explain concepts clearly and support students at different ability levels
- Maintain positive and effective classroom management
- Encourage, motivate and inspire students
- Provide brief feedback regarding student progress where required
- Follow the centre’s lesson plans, teaching programs and procedures
WHO SHOULD APPLY
We welcome applications from:
- University students currently completing a teaching degree
- Qualified primary or secondary school teachers
- Former Selective High School students
- Candidates who completed Advanced English or higher-level Mathematics at school
- University students or graduates studying Medicine, Law, Accounting, Engineering, Science or related disciplines
- Experienced tutors with strong English or Mathematics skills
Previous tutoring experience is beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive training, lesson plans and teaching resources will be provided.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in teaching and student development
- The ability to engage and manage a classroom confidently
- Reliability, punctuality and professionalism
- Strong knowledge of English and/or Mathematics
- A valid Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
AVAILABLE HOURS
Weekdays: 4:30 pm–8:30 pm
Saturdays: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Various shifts are available.
URGENT REQUIREMENT
Immediate availability on Thursdays from 4:30 pm is highly desirable.
