We are looking for an experienced Remedial Estimator to join a well-established business delivering complex projects across large-scale infrastructure, industrial, remedial works and façade projects
. This is a senior opportunity to work on technically challenging projects with values ranging up to $10M.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Remedial Construction Manager, you will be responsible for leading the estimating function across a diverse portfolio of remedial and infrastructure projects. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing a small estimating team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed and accurate estimates for large-scale remedial, industrial and façade projects
- Conducting pre-tender site inspections to evaluate on-site conditions, access necessities, and other potential constraints.
- Preparing estimate summaries including BOQ's, window and door schedules and material take offs, using provided tender specifications and plans
- Prepare and submit subcontractor tender packages and RFQ's
- Developing comprehensive construction methodologies, including preliminary construction program, access plans and resourcing
- Managing the end-to-end tender process from take-offs through to submission
- Mentoring and supporting an estimating team
- Reviewing subcontractor pricing and scopes
- Working closely with operations and project delivery teams to ensure successful handovers
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years of experience as an estimator within the Australian construction industry - Strong preference for those with remedial expertise.
- Strong exposure to large, complex projects (infrastructure, industrial, remedial or façades)
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A motivated, proactive approach, with a proven ability to thrive in team settings and adapt flexibly in managing their time.
