About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and patient focused Pharmacist to join our team as a
full-time Oncology Pharmacist at
Slade Pharmacy Albert Street, located within
Epworth Freemasons Hospital in East Melbourne.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in oncology pharmacy while working alongside experienced clinicians in a leading cancer care environment. Based primarily at our Albert Street pharmacy, you will play a key role in supporting oncology services across our regional hospital partners in Mildura, Ballarat and Kyneton, helping to deliver safe, high-quality care to patients throughout their treatment journey.
You will work closely with oncologists, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to provide clinical pharmacy services, medication management and patient education, while building specialist expertise across a broad range of cancer treatments and therapies.
A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple oncology services across Victoria. Through leave coverage and cross site support, you will have the chance to work in different oncology settings, broaden your clinical experience and further develop your skills within the wider Icon Group network.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Support and oversee oncology pharmacy services delivered to regional hospital sites.
- Review and dispense oncology and supportive care medications, ensuring safe and effective treatment outcomes.
- Conduct clinical assessments and medication reviews, making recommendations to optimise patient care.
- Provide medication counselling and education to patients and caregivers.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support evidence based cancer care and treatment planning.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, pharmacy protocols and service development activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training across the broader oncology network.
- Travel to other oncology sites across Victoria as required.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Current general registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Previous experience in oncology pharmacy is desirable but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided. A strong interest in cancer care is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel to other oncology sites when required.
- A roadworthy vehicle and valid Australian driver's licence.
- Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
