Josh Wood Colour one of London's most celebrated hair institutions has arrived in Australia, and we've made ourselves right at home inside MECCA Bourke Street. Founded by Josh Wood, the globally recognised colourist and pioneer of modern hair colour, our Melbourne salon opened in August 2025 and we are already buzzing. Now, we're looking for a brilliant Hair Stylist and Precision Cutter to grow with us.

The role:
You'll be at the heart of the Josh Wood experience at MECCA Bourke Street delivering exceptional cuts, styling and finishing services that sit seamlessly alongside our world-class colour offering. Think elevated, personalised artistry in one of Melbourne's most vibrant and iconic beauty destinations.
Day to day, you'll work alongside a talented team of colourists in an environment that values creativity, collaboration, and a genuinely warm client experience. No two days look the same here, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
What you'll be doing:
Delivering expert precision cuts, styling and blow-drying services tailored to each individual client.
Leading in-depth consultations really listening, and advising clients on hair care, techniques and products that actually work for them.
Collaborating closely with our colourist to ensure every client leaves looking and feeling incredible.
Upholding a luxury client experience from the moment someone walks in to the moment they walk out.
Supporting retail and product knowledge so clients can maintain their look at home.
What you'll bring:
A qualified Hair Stylist with at least 3 years of professional experience under your belt.
Strong technical skills across cutting, styling and finishing with a genuine love for the craft.
The ability to build real, lasting relationships with clients people come back because of you.
Experience in luxury or high-end environments is a bonus, but passion, warmth and skill matter most.
A collaborative spirit you bring great energy to the floor and lift everyone around you.
