What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience in office administration or office/business management (required).
- Candidates with additional relevant experience will be highly regarded.
- Experience in the furniture, retail, wholesale, or home furnishings industry is an advantage.
- Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office management systems.
- Knowledge of payroll coordination, recordkeeping, and compliance requirements is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the office.
- Develop and implement office procedures to improve efficiency and support business operations.
- Coordinate staff schedules, resources, and administrative requirements.
- Supervise and support administrative staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Maintain accurate business records, including inventory, customer records, HR documentation, and financial files.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, freight providers, and external service providers.
- Manage procurement and ensure timely ordering of office and operational supplies.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, employment legislation, and company policies.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, and staff training administration.
- Support management with business planning, reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
