We are seeking passionate and committed Early Childhood Teachers to join our supportive team in Queanbeyan.
About the Role
As an Early Childhood Teacher at Kin, you will plan, implement and evaluate high-quality educational programs that
support children’s learning, development and wellbeing. You will work closely with children, families, educators and
centre leadership to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
● Develop and deliver play-based educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
● Plan learning experiences that support children’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive, language and creative
development.
● Observe, assess and document children’s learning, interests and developmental progress.
● Prepare individual and group learning plans based on children’s needs, abilities and interests.
● Create safe, inclusive and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments.
● Use intentional teaching strategies to extend children’s learning and improve educational outcomes.
● Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and caregivers.
● Communicate with families regarding children’s progress, wellbeing and development.
● Support children with additional needs and promote inclusive educational practices.
● Maintain accurate learning records, observations and program documentation.
● Work collaboratively with educators, room leaders and centre management.
● Participate in reflective practice, team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
● Contribute to the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan and National Quality Standard outcomes.
● Ensure children are adequately supervised in a safe and nurturing environment.
● Comply with child protection, hygiene, workplace safety and centre policies.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking educators who:
● Hold an ACECQA-approved early childhood teaching degree, or are actively working towards an approved
qualification and meet the applicable regulatory requirements.
● Hold, or are eligible to obtain, NSW teacher accreditation where required.
● Hold a valid Working with Children Check.
● Hold current first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications, or are willing to obtain them.
● Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.
● Are passionate about early childhood education and children’s development.
● Are reliable, committed and enjoy working collaboratively.
● Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
● Take pride in delivering high-quality education and care.
● Demonstrate sound observation, assessment and educational documentation skills.
● Are committed to professional growth, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
