WCP Civil Pty Ltd is a leading Western Australian civil construction contractor delivering road construction, road maintenance, pavement rehabilitation and infrastructure projects across metropolitan and regional Western Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced Grader Operator to join our Perth metropolitan Division on a full-time, ongoing basis.
Salary: $90,000 – $140,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate motor graders safely and efficiently on civil construction, road construction and maintenance projects.
· Spread, level and trim construction materials to specified grades and tolerances.
· Perform bulk earthworks and final trim grading to engineering specifications.
· Read and interpret construction plans, survey set-outs and grade information.
· Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance of plant and equipment.
· Report mechanical issues and maintenance requirements.
· Work collaboratively with supervisors, surveyors and other plant operators to meet project deadlines.
· Comply with all workplace health and safety, environmental and company policies and procedures.
· Maintain accurate plant operation and maintenance records.
Essential Requirements
· Demonstrated experience operating graders on civil construction or road infrastructure projects.
· Current Grader Operator competency or relevant plant operating qualifications.
· Current Australian Driver's Licence (HR licence desirable).
· Construction White Card.
· Experience with GPS machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon or equivalent) is highly regarded.
· Strong understanding of road construction, earthworks and final trim operations.
· Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
· Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
