About the Role
As the first point of contact for patients, families and visitors, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience within our busy Emergency Department.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a high-volume emergency reception desk

Welcoming patients and visitors with professionalism and empathy

Answering and directing telephone enquiries

Preparing admissions and patient documentation

Coordinating follow-up requests and communications
-
Maintaining accurate medical records and administration systems

Conducting health fund eligibility checks
-
Collecting patient excesses and co-payments
-
Liaising with clinical and support teams across the hospital

Performing data entry and general administrative duties
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is organised, adaptable and patient-focused, with the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally, you will have:

Previous administration or reception experience

Outstanding customer service and communication skills

Strong computer literacy and attention to detail

The ability to manage competing priorities effectively

A positive, team-oriented approach
-
Availability to work rotating shifts across 7 days, primarily night and afternoon shifts.

Availability to work a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week on an ongoing basis
Experience within healthcare or hospital administration will be highly regarded but is not essential.
