Pocketnote Tutors is looking for passionate individuals in the Gladesville area to join our team of Private Tutors. Pocketnote provides 1:1 tutoring and mentoring for students in Grades 2-12 in all subjects. Our mission is to create meaningful impact in the lives of students, supporting them to improve their confidence in the classroom and beyond.
You’ll be tutoring in the student’s home or online. If you are passionate about having a positive impact on learning and self-development for students in your community, we want to hear from you!
What you can expect from us:
- Generous hourly rates with capacity to grow - our rates start at $40/hr for in-person sessions and $30/hr for online sessions. Rates increase to align with your experience and qualifications, up to $55/hr.
- Regular payments - payments are made weekly for all sessions conducted the week prior, so you know how much and when you’ll be getting paid. No chasing payments!
- Flexible work - set your own schedule at the start of term and your availability for online or in-person sessions
- Ongoing support - we handle the admin, including student onboarding and payments, plus a friendly support team to help you whenever you need it
- Students looking for your support - we connect you with families. Our student numbers are growing and families are seeking reliable tutors for support
What we expect from you:
- Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain topics effectively
- Adaptability, to accommodate varying student learning styles and abilities
- Patience and professionalism
- The ability to commit to your students for at least 6 months
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience
- Completed high school in NSW with an ATAR
- The ability to travel to student homes in the Gladesville area
- A valid WWCC or ability to obtain one (non-negotiable)
- An ABN or willingness to obtain one (non-negotiable). Tutors are engaged as independent contractors which provides you with flexibility to choose your schedule.
