Lead a High-Performing Team and Develop Your Leadership Career
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our workshop and maintenance team.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will lead a team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics, coordinate maintenance activities and help ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant and available for operations.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a highly experienced leader, gaining valuable mentoring, operational exposure and leadership development. It is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to broaden their management experience and build a long-term career within the business.
You will also provide leadership coverage during periods when the Workshop Manager is on leave or absent.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily workshop operations and maintenance activities
Lead and support a team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics and workshop staff
Coordinate repairs, servicing and maintenance schedules
Liaise with suppliers and contractors to arrange specialist and warranty work
Monitor fleet availability and workshop productivity
Ensure compliance with safety, quality and company standards
Assist the Workshop Manager in achieving workshop objectives
Provide leadership and operational support as required
About you:
Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to lead a team and manage competing priorities
Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
