About the role
Lead the delivery of culturally safe specialist family services that support Aboriginal children, young people and families. You will guide a dedicated team, oversee referrals and case management, build strong partnerships with DFFH and community stakeholders, and help create positive outcomes across the Bayside Peninsula and Southern Metro regions.
About You
You are a values driven leader with a passion for supporting Aboriginal children, families and communities. You bring strong leadership skills, experience guiding and developing staff, and a commitment to delivering high quality, culturally safe services. You are confident managing referrals, supporting program outcomes, building strong teams, maintaining quality records and reporting, and ensuring services meet legislative and organisational requirements. Most importantly, you are dedicated to strengthening community, empowering families, and creating positive outcomes through culturally centred practice.
- Desirable:
- Substantial experience working in a client-facing role in the family services sector.
- Experience working directly or indirectly with intake functions and processes.
- Experience working in Aboriginal organisations and with Aboriginal communities.
- Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology and/or Child and Family Welfare or an equivalent related to community services or willingness to obtain.
- Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
