About the Role:
The Information Technology Officer will support the colleges’ priorities by managing existing ICT business systems and developing solutions to meet the demands of changing educational landscape including technologies, innovative learning and school management approaches.
This role is essential to the daily operations of the college, overseeing the systems that support senior secondary education, including timetabling, attendance, staffing, curriculum, assessment, reporting, internal communications, the school's online presence, and our integration with the broader ACT Education Directorate’s systems and the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies ACS (ACT Certification System).
As part of the Administration team, the Information Technology Officer will work closely with the College Executive team and College Administration team to provide technical support to staff and students. In accordance with Directorate policies and in consultation with the supervisor, the position requires leadership, initiative and independent judgement.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

Completion, or near completion of an associate diploma or higher qualification in computing/information science or significant relevant work experience (two or more years).

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for six months with the possibility of permanency.
An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
