The Role
As a Trainer and Assessor at Volt Edge, you'll deliver high-quality, industry-relevant training across our specialist electrical programs. No two days are the same. You'll be engaging with students both online and in hands-on practical environments, making a genuine difference to their careers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering dynamic, engaging training and assessment across Solar & Battery, QTP, QBP, and Electrical Contracting programs
- Using our online Learning Management System (LMS) to assess theory submissions and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Running hands-on, simulated work experience sessions that build real-world skills and employability
- Supporting students from initial learning through to practical competency sign-off
- Contributing to a training culture that's innovative, supportive, and industry-leading
- Volt Edge delivers weekly training in:
- Solar Design & Installation
- Solar Battery StorageElectrical Contracting — QTP | QBPLV Testing
About You
You're a qualified trade professional with a passion for teaching and a natural ability to connect with people. You bring:
- TAE40116 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or higher qualification in Adult & Vocational Education)
- Strong hands-on industry experience in Solar Installation & Design and/or Electrical Contracting
- Ability to deliver at least two (2) of the courses offered by Volt Edge (e.g. Solar & Battery, QTP, QBP)
- Solid computer literacy and confidence using LMS platforms for tracking and assessing student progress
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with the ability to give constructive, motivating feedback
- An engaging training persona: you know how to hold a room and bring learning to life
- Willingness to travel state-wide or interstate when required (travel is infrequent)
