We now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Soil Technician to join our team and contribute to the success of diverse projects.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare clear, accurate records and reports
· Perform fieldwork and laboratory testing for soil properties and construction materials – getting hands on at construction sites
· Interpret work assignment instructions, apply appropriate testing procedures, and select necessary equipment.
· Collect and analyse soil samples and construction materials and forwarding findings.
· Estimate material properties and ensure results meet project specifications, regulations, and standards.
· Inspect soil conditions on-site and assist in supervising related maintenance or remedial work.
· Test soils/concrete in the lab and out in the field
· Provide top notch service to our construction clients
Required Skills and Attributes:
- AQF Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques – Relevant qualifications at a minimum Diploma level or at least 3 years of work experience in lieu
- At least 2 years of work experience is required in Level 1 Supervision
- Soil/concrete testing experience
- A good team attitude, strong communication skills and a solid work ethic
- Current driver’s license, MR licence prefferred.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage fieldwork and lab testing efficiently within project timelines
- An ability to work alongside engineers, contractors and other team members in field and laboratory settings
- Physically capable to work on construction sites and in the laboratory

Pay: $26.44 – $45.69 per hour
