THE ROLE
Mulpha Australia is one of the country’s most strategic real estate debt and equity investors and leisure, residential and commercial property development and retail and office sectors. We have an amazing portfolio of world class destinations, businesses, luxury properties and products.
The General Manager, Technology, Data & AI will define and execute Mulpha’s technology, data and AI strategy, building the enterprise foundations and capabilities needed to improve decision-making, accelerate transformation and drive business performance.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to
Build and lead a high-performing technology and data team with clear accountability, strong engagement and a service-oriented culture.
Define and execute an integrated technology, data and AI strategy aligned to Mulpha’s business priorities, investment objectives and risk appetite.
Lead the technology and data agenda underpinning enterprise transformation, ensuring platforms, processes and data support operating model evolution.
Design and evolve enterprise systems and architecture to ensure solutions are integrated, scalable and secure.
Guide application and platform choices across the Group to reduce duplication, improve data flow and limit technical debt.
Lead day-to-day IT operations across infrastructure, networks, end-user services and core business systems in Australia and Malaysia.
Strengthen Mulpha’s cyber security posture through appropriate frameworks, controls, monitoring and response capabilities.
Manage the technology and data budget with strong financial discipline and a clear line of sight to return on investment.
Lead key vendor and partner relationships, including contract negotiation, performance management and renewal decisions.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Strong knowledge of enterprise data, analytics, AI and automation, including how to translate these into practical business value.
Sound understanding of enterprise IT operations, applications, infrastructure, cyber security, data governance and modern architecture.
Good grasp of technology investment, vendor management, budgeting, risk and governance
Demonstrated success in a senior technology, data and/or AI leadership role spanning strategy, delivery and operations.
Track record of building data capability and delivering AI, automation or transformation programs with measurable business outcomes.
Exposure to finance transformation.
Experience leading teams, managing vendors and working with senior executives and boards on prioritisation, investment, governance and risk.
Experience in property, hospitality, asset-intensive or diversified operating environments, ideally across Australia and Asia is highly desirable
Relevant tertiary qualifications in technology, information systems, data, business or a related discipline.
