About the role
This role is responsible for leading a team member by working with and overseeing all activities, planning, organising and deciding how to accomplish set tasks, goal setting and distribution of information.
We deliver reliable, high‑quality services for our community. You’ll be part of a supportive “One Council” team where safety, teamwork and accountability guide how we work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake the day-to-day management of a team member and their assigned tasks.
- Undertake planning, goal setting, task, and resource allocation for the team, to ensure a program of works are completed effectively.
- Ensure completion of all necessary administration functions.
- Mentor new starters and others within the team.
Work alongside a team member to complete daily works such as litter picking, pressure washing, amenities cleaning within the public domain.

We offer a competitive salary from $70,836 to $77,981 plus12% superannuation
This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Allowance and early morning penalties.

About you
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Previous experience leading an operational team.
- Previous experience driving manual transmission vehicle
- Ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage and coordinate daily work schedules
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances
Ability to work as part of a team.
