Maintenance and Construction Worker
Warrnambool City Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Municipal Maintenance and Construction Worker to join our dedicated team in a permanent full-time capacity.
This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the safety, functionality and presentation of our city’s infrastructure. You will be part of a supportive team that takes pride in keeping Warrnambool’s roads, footpaths, and public assets in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain heavy plant and equipment, including (but not limited to) front end loaders, backhoes, trucks, and street cleaning machinery.

Assist with the construction and maintenance of roads, footpaths, drains, and other Council assets.

Perform routine servicing and maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment in accordance with Council safety procedures.

Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently by adhering to Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).

Maintain designated work areas to the required standard, ensuring the timely completion of all assigned duties.
About You:

Experience operating a range of heavy plant and equipment.

A strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.
-
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.

Physically fit and able to undertake manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

The Benefits
This is a permanent full-time position with an annual salary of $71,158 per annum (including industry allowance), plus superannuation.
