As the Chef de Partie at Flagstick Bistro, you will play an important role in supporting the Head Chef and senior kitchen team with daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and service delivery.
This full-time position is based at our Eugowra NSW venue and is suited to a motivated chef with strong kitchen experience who can work confidently in a busy bistro environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing high-quality bistro meals to menu standards
- Assisting the Head Chef and kitchen team during lunch, dinner, and function services
- Maintaining consistency in food preparation, presentation, and portion control
- Supporting daily kitchen operations and service flow
- Assisting with stock rotation, food preparation, and kitchen organisation
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements
- Discussing food preparation issues with Head Chef, Managers and the team
- Managing Inventory and monitoring food costs
- Working as part of a positive and professional kitchen team
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a kitchen or bistro in a similar role
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant culinary qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and bistro-style service
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail in food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Ability to work across lunch, dinner, weekends, and functions as required
- Passion for producing quality food and delivering great customer experiences
