The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a new graduate or early career Occupational Therapist (0–2 years experience) who’s keen to build strong skills in aged care and healthy ageing.
You’ll work with clients receiving Home Care Packages, Transitional Care, and Restorative Care Programs, helping them stay independent and live safely at home for longer.
This is a hands-on community role where you’ll support people to overcome daily challenges through practical interventions, equipment prescription, and home modifications.
You’ll also build your own caseload and grow referral relationships as you develop your career.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting clients to stay independent at home
Completing assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
Prescribing assistive technology and recommending home modifications
Supporting cognitive, physical, and functional changes associated with ageing
Educating clients, families, and carers with practical strategies
Working closely with other health professionals and support networks
Managing a growing community caseload
What We’re Looking For:
Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor or Master)
AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
Interest in aged care, healthy ageing, and community-based practice
Strong communication and rapport-building skills
Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing your own workload
Passion for working with culturally diverse communities
A team player who also works well independently
Experience or interest in assistive technology and home modifications
You’ll Need:
Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
Australian working rights
