Base salary up to $112,470.00 plus 12% Superannuation (Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience)
The Opportunity
As the Network Operations Technical Officer you will primarily be responsible to support the Manager Wastewater Network Operations in the operation of the Wastewater Network in accordance with Operating Licence, Customer Contract and other regulatory requirements.
What you'll do:
-
Management of environmental incidents including sampling, preparation of cleanup and remediation plans, follow up investigations and environmental reporting.

Operations investigations in all aspects of the wastewater network including pumping stations, pipe networks, chemical dosing and odour management.

Shutdown and operational planning and execution.

Customer complaint handling and investigation relating to the wastewater network.

Supporting the strategic initiative to reduce wastewater overflows.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential Criteria:
-
Certificate in an engineering, technical, or other relevant discipline
- Class C driver’s licence
-
Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the focus and desire to build effective working relationships.
Desirable Criteria:
-
Diploma (or equivalent Certificate) in an engineering, technical or other relevant discipline
-
Experience in water and wastewater systems – operations & maintenance and/or design & construction
-
Ability to effectively utilise information technology, including computerised control & monitoring systems, geographical information systems, incident management systems, enterprise resource planning systems, and engineering plans & drawings
