Working within the operations department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a motor grader and other heavy plant to support council's road maintenance, construction and asset management programs.
You will work closely with the works supervisors to deliver high-quality outcomes across the municipality while contributing to construction, maintenance, and spray sealing operations when required.
A current heavy rigid (HR) licence (HC or MC licence advantageous).
Traffic management accreditation.
White card (construction Induction).
First aid certificate.
Operating a backhoe / excavator in road construction and maintenance.
Sound knowledge of road formation, drainage, gravel maintenance and pavement construction.
Operating additional civil plant such as loaders, rollers, excavators or backhoes.
Local government civil construction and maintenance.
A current heavy rigid (HR) licence
Experience working on construction and maintenance sites.
Ticket or certificate grader
Previous council experience
