What You'll Be Doing
- Coaching, mentoring and developing supervisors and front-of-house team members to achieve their full potential.
- Delivering exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the highest standards of service and professionally resolving guest feedback.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, workplace health and safety, and company policies.
- Leading the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth, efficient and consistent service delivery.
- Leading by example with professionalism, accountability, energy and a hands-on leadership approach.
- Maintaining exceptional venue presentation, cleanliness and operational standards at all times.
- Managing reservations, floor plans and service flow to maximise both guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Monitoring labour costs, sales performance and operational efficiencies to achieve financial objectives.
- Preparing and managing team rosters in line with business demands, productivity targets and labour budgets.
- Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and leadership team to deliver exceptional food, beverage and hospitality experiences.
What We're Looking For
- A hands-on leader who thrives on the floor, leads by example and inspires their team to deliver exceptional hospitality every shift.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing hospitality teams while creating a positive and accountable workplace culture.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests, team members and fellow leaders.
- High attention to detail with a passion for delivering consistently outstanding guest experiences.
- Proven experience managing labour costs, rosters, productivity targets and the day-to-day operation of a busy restaurant.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency and profitability.
- Confidence making decisions under pressure while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise competing demands.
- A thorough understanding of food safety, liquor licensing and workplace health and safety legislation.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Approved Manager Certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, leadership and developing people, with a desire to contribute to the ongoing success of The Breakwater.
