The Opportunity
The ICT Sourcing and Vendor Management team delivers procurement support services for the Information and Intelligence Systems Division (IISD). The team ensures the division is effectively managing the procurement of ICT goods and services, monitoring contract renewals in collaboration with contract managers, and facilitating appropriate procurement practices in line with Commonwealth requirements.
The ICT Sourcing Specialist works in partnership with the agency’s Central Procurement team to deliver ICT procurements from the transactional to strategic level. The role provides specialist procurement and contract support for a range of important ICT Services to ACIC and our policing partners, many of which have underlying support and maintenance contracts. This role supports Senior ICT Engineers in managing their ICT contracts by tracking renewals, licence consumption, and facilitating new procurements.
Role responsibilities

Provide specialist assistance to key contract variation activities, and manages Official Orders/Variations for the Intelligence and Information Systems Division.

Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including market analysis, tender development, evaluation, and negotiation.

Ensure procurement activities deliver value for money and comply with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).

Draft, manage, and monitor contracts to ensure compliance and effective delivery of goods or services.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and team members to understand procurement requirements, provide expert advice, contract management and successful services.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and ethical standards.

Identify risks associated with procurement activities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

Contribute to the development and enhancement of procurement policies, templates, and systems.

Monitor market trends and recommend innovative approaches to improve procurement outcomes.

Support team initiatives by contributing to training sessions and organizational improvement projects.
