Role description
As a result of ongoing growth, we are looking for highly motivated, customer-focused, results driven and experienced full time Technical Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities. If you are a solution seller and hungry for growth, Solar Galaxy is the right place for you.
Experience in the solar industry will be highly desirable.
You will be responsible for:
· ‘Suspecting’, prospecting and generating a qualified database for developing new enterprise business for Solar Galaxy by variety of means , but not limited to, cold calling, networking, attending industry seminars, using published industry yellow pages, etc
· Meeting and keeping regular touch with prospects to uncover business opportunities, quote and close those opportunities promptly
· Qualifying clients as prospects by way of consultation and in-depth requirement analysis.
· Consultative selling: You will need to uncover detailed requirements of the clients and thereafter provide tailored solutions and quotations.
· Presenting clients the complete solar solution (products and services) by way of appropriate presentations and case studies.
· Preparing and presenting technical proposal to clients
· Preparing financial quotations, price terms, etc for the solar solutions being sold and negotiating the same with the clients to arrive at a win-win scenario.
· Preparing and explaining contracts to clients. For this you will need to work with Solar Galaxy’s internal legal and financial teams
· Processing sales orders and recording the same in our internal CRM system.
· Working alongside our engineering and installation teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of solar structures at client sites.
· Manage and exceed customer expectations during the complete sales and post-sales cycle.
· Post- sales follow up with clients: Build strong client relationships by providing post-purchase support, ensuring customer satisfaction, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
· Whilst regular training will be provided, you are expected to have an excellent grasp of Solar Galaxy’s products and solutions on an ongoing basis, since the solar industry is rapidly evolving.
· You are also expected to have knowledge and understanding of competitors’ products and services as well as their modus operandi. You will need to regularly update the management regarding these via reports and internal sales meetings.
· Updating management where competition is doing better than Solar Galaxy and how to improve our services and offerings. Regular reporting to management on market landscape, competitor activity, changing customer requirements, etc
· Regular sales reporting in our internal MIS. This includes:
o Pipeline built
o Sales versus targets
o Expenses
Skills and qualifications:
· Ability to handle corporate clientele i.e. understanding and reaching out to decision makers and influencers within the client company.
· Understanding of engineering related solutions is critical
· You need to be, ‘people oriented’.
Experience Required:
· A proven "hunter" with consultative selling skills
· Minimum 6 years of experience in sales.
· Experience in solar products and technology will be highly desirable.
· A self-starter with a track record of outstanding performance and achievement of goals.
· A high level of technical knowledge to be able to discuss a customer's solar requirements, perform detailed level needs analysis, detailed solutions, and build and present the value proposition for the customer
· Commercial and business acumen and the capability of supporting end to end sales engagements
· Ability to successfully communicate with contacts via the phone, email, video, and collaboration tools.
· Positive and self-driven attitude with the ability to work autonomously as well as be a key member of a collaborative team
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
