The opportunity
As Head of Compliance Frameworks and Policies, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and evolving QBE's global compliance frameworks. Acting as a trusted partner to the business and Group Risk, you will influence and coordinate the development of robust compliance policies, regulatory change management, and framework governance, strengthening QBE's ability to meet evolving regulatory and conduct expectations globally and bringing the Enterprise together.

Your new role
This is a highly visible leadership position sitting at the centre of QBE's compliance and risk ecosystem. You will partner with senior stakeholders across Compliance, Risk and business divisions to develop, implement and continuously enhance the frameworks, policies and operating models that strengthen risk management, drive consistency and enable effective decision-making across the Group.
Lead the development, review and ongoing enhancement of Group-wide compliance frameworks, policies and standards, ensuring they remain practical, effective and aligned to regulatory requirements.
Establish and mature QBE's approach to regulatory change management, defining operating models and governance processes that support consistent identification, communication and implementation across the organisation.
Support governance reporting and board-level reporting activities, ensuring high-quality insights, robust oversight and timely delivery of key compliance information.
Provide subject matter expertise into key enterprise risk processes, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), Risk Management Declarations (RMDs), risk assessments and risk reporting activities.
Drive the ongoing enhancement of compliance-related modules within QBE's Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system, translating policy requirements into efficient and user-friendly solutions.
Build strong partnerships across Compliance, Risk and business divisions to identify emerging risks, strengthen controls, support strategic change initiatives and uplift compliance capability across the Group.
About you:
You are a technically strong compliance leader who combines deep policy and framework expertise with exceptional stakeholder management and leadership capability.
What We're Looking For
Significant experience developing, implementing and maintaining compliance frameworks, policies and governance structures.
Strong understanding of conduct and compliance risk taxonomies and related controls within complex organisations.
Proven experience leading regulatory change initiatives and translating regulatory requirements into practical outcomes.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively at executive and board level.
Background in insurance, financial services or compliance-focused consulting, with demonstrated expertise in policy and framework design.
