Our Firm is a boutique practice based in Perth specialising in providing tax and business advice to our diverse client portfolio.
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team on a full time basis, one who is dedicated to offering our clients the highest level of service.
You will have leadership ability, the right attitude, personality and the ability to work as a team member.
This role is very hands-on and rewarding. Working with a variety of clients you will be responsible for the following duties:
All aspects of tax, advisory and associated accounting, including:
Role and responsibilities:
- Working directly with clients.
- Assisting the principal
- Complete client’s work on a timely basis
- Bookkeeping (payroll, accounting)
- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns (for individuals, partnership, companies, trusts and superannuation funds), BAS/FBT returns, capital gains tax, State tax and other tax related work
- Assisting with tax compliance, research, modelling and consulting services to a wide variety of clients
- Researching tax matters where required.
- Liaising with and building relationships with clients, the ATO and other bodies as relevant and required.
- Help guide and review the work of junior accountants

POSITION QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in tax and business services, public practice environment
- Qualified CA / CPA qualification.
- Experience in preparation of accounts, IAS, BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT Return and income tax return for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Individuals and Self-managed Superannuation Funds.
- Strong Accounting and Taxation knowledge
- Experience in public practice
- Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, QuickBook,
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel and MS Outlook (Intermediate Level or above)
- Excellent written and spoken Business English is a prerequisite
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
