About The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Officer to join the Aegis team.
Working within our nursing home environment, you will play an important role in ensuring the facility is safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for residents, visitors, and staff. This hands-on position involves general maintenance, preventative upkeep, and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the home to help deliver a high standard of care and living environment.
In this role, you will:
- Perform maintenance and repairs to buildings and equipment under the guidance of the Unit and Facility Managers.
- Assess the quality and effectiveness of completed maintenance work, reporting any issues to the Facility Managers.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of maintenance stores and supplies.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks in line with the maintenance program.

About You
To be successful in this position you will:
- Have a high attention to detail.
- Experienced in report writing.
- Be able to communicate to all levels of employees, and customers.
- Be able to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment and autonomously.
- Have knowledge of general maintenance procedures and repairs.
- Hold a ‘Test & Tag’ Certificate desirable, however not essential.
‘Working at Heights’ Ticket and a previous background within a trade will be highly desirable, however not essential.
