Yard Person / Forklift Operator
BOSSNA Logistics is a growing transport and warehousing company based in Perth, providing container logistics, warehousing, and distribution services across Western Australia.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Yard Person / Forklift Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing the job properly, and can work safely in a busy warehouse environment.
About the Role
Your daily duties will include:
- Packing and unpacking shipping containers.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Operating forklifts, including lifting heavy freight with our 16-tonne forklift.
- Loading and unloading steel, machinery, palletised freight and oversized cargo.
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders.
- Receiving and dispatching freight.
- Checking freight against delivery paperwork and consignment notes.
- Maintaining accurate warehouse records and paperwork.
- Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, organised and safe.
- Working closely with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure freight is handled efficiently.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current Forklift (LF) Licence (essential).
- Previous experience in warehousing and container operations.
- Experience loading and unloading containers and trucks.
- Confidence operating large forklifts and handling heavy freight (experience with high-capacity forklifts is highly regarded).
- Good reading, writing and communication skills.
- Ability to understand delivery paperwork, manifests and consignment notes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work safely and follow workplace procedures.
- A strong work ethic with reliable attendance.
Desirable
- HR or HC Truck Licence.
- Experience with steel products or general freight.
- Experience in logistics or transport warehousing.
- Dogging or rigging experience (advantageous).
