Play a key role in delivering the program establishing and operationalising the new Woodford Youth Detention Centre. This is an opportunity to contribute to a significant and complex program of work supporting the successful readiness and operation of a new centre.
The Program Manager is responsible for providing operational management and delivery oversight across a complex, non-ICT program encompassing organisational, workforce, operational and cultural initiatives. Working closely with the Program Director, the role ensures initiatives are effectively planned, coordinated, monitored and delivered to support successful operational readiness of the centre.
The role maintains oversight of integrated scheduling, interdependencies, RAID management, governance and reporting across approximately 25 concurrent initiatives. Working across multiple workstreams, the Program Manager identifies and manages delivery risks, sequencing issues and operational challenges, ensuring delivery activities remain aligned and on track.
The Program Manager provides specialist, evidence-based advice relating to program delivery, operational readiness, risks, governance and delivery confidence. This advice supports senior leaders and governance forums to make informed decisions based on practical delivery considerations, timing and implementation impacts.
Operating within a dynamic and evolving environment, the role applies strong program management capability, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to maintain program discipline and momentum. The role also supports continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, integration and delivery approaches that may inform future initiatives and operational improvements across the broader youth detention network.
