This is a well established and essential role that is central to the day to day success of Glen Eira Leisure’s operations across Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) and Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool (CMSP).

About the role
We are seeking a capable and driven leader who is passionate about delivering safe, high quality services and developing high performing teams.
In this role, you will lead and support a team of Centre Supervisors, ensuring operational excellence, strong safety practices and exceptional customer service across our facilities.
Reporting to the Safety and Supervision Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining service standards, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor and provide clear leadership to the Centre Supervisor team in line with organisational policies, procedures and industry guidelines. Foster a positive team culture and support ongoing staff development.
- Roster Management: Develop and manage complex staff rosters, ensuring appropriate coverage, operational efficiency and responsiveness to service demands across GESAC and CMSP.
- Operational & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all Centre Supervisors consistently meet legislative, safety, policy and service requirements. Support staff to uphold high standards of supervision, safety and customer experience.
- Cross Team Collaboration: Work closely with Aquatic, Sports Programs, Customer Experience and Maintenance teams to coordinate programs, facility use and planned maintenance activities, ensuring seamless operations and communication.
- Service Standards & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with other Team Leaders to maintain and enhance Service Improvement Standards across daily operations.
- Reporting, Budget & Performance Monitoring: Track operational performance, maintain accurate records and provide insights and data to support decision making, KPI monitoring and budget oversight.
Roster requirements
As part of this role, you will also undertake direct service shifts as a Centre Supervisor, leading by example in managing operations, responding to incidents and ensuring a safe environment for staff and patrons.
You will be rostered up to 15.2 hours per week of direct service, with the remaining hours being administrative/leadership duties.

Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated commitment to organisational values and behaviours
- Extensive customer service experience
- Experience leading, training and developing staff
- Strong dispute resolution and problem solving skills
- Proven experience managing complex rosters and teams
- Sound understanding of safety, risk and compliance requirements in a leisure environment
- Current CPR, First Aid, Pool Lifeguard, Aquatic Technical Operators, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates (or be willing to obtain prior to employment).
