About Us
At Lion, we’re all about making the moment mean more. We brew, market and deliver some of Australia and New Zealand’s most loved brands, while building a culture where people can grow, belong and make a real impact.
The Role
Join Lion as a Senior Network Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract and take the technical lead on two major network refresh projects across our Australian and New Zealand sites.
Working closely with our Network Service Delivery Manager and Project Manager, you’ll bring the hands-on Cisco expertise to plan and deliver our switch and wireless access point refreshes across our network.
Plan the technical approach for each site and configure Cisco switches, wireless infrastructure and associated network technology
Lead the technical delivery of a full network switch refresh and replacement of approximately 600 wireless access points
Partner with site teams, the Network Service Delivery Manager and Project Manager to plan cutovers, outages and change activities
Travel to Lion sites across Australia and New Zealand to support installations, cutovers and successful delivery
Identify opportunities to improve the broader network environment while completing planned refresh activities
Guide onsite support teams through technical activities remotely where required
The majority of site delivery is expected between February and June 2027, with some travel during this period and work outside standard hours to accommodate manufacturing schedules.
About You
You’re an experienced Network Engineer who can combine deep technical capability with the confidence to take ownership and drive delivery. You’re collaborative and pragmatic, and comfortable working independently while bringing others along with you.
Significant hands-on network engineering experience, ideally around 10 years, including delivery of large-scale network refresh projects
Demonstrate strong Cisco switching and wireless capability, with CCNA or CCNP certification highly regarded
Experience with SD-WAN, with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) will be beneficial
Show experience planning and executing network installations, cutovers and changes in complex operational environments
Build collaborative relationships across technical teams, project teams and operational stakeholders
Work confidently as a self-starter who can assess a brief, determine the right technical approach and drive delivery
Experience within a large enterprise environment would be valuable, particularly across manufacturing, FMCG, retail or another environment where operational uptime is critical.
