Springfield Lakes Towing & Transport is seeking a confident and organised Dispatch & Bookings Coordinator to join our fast-paced operations team.
This role is suited to someone who can think quickly, stay calm under pressure, and confidently manage multiple moving parts at once. Every day is different, and the right person will thrive in a busy environment where communication, accuracy, and problem-solving are critical.
About Us
Springfield Lakes Towing & Transport operates a large fleet providing towing, transport, machinery relocation and heavy haulage services across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
We work with equipment hire companies, civil contractors, insurers, government departments and commercial clients, handling everything from general towing and breakdowns through to specialised machinery and transport logistics.
Our operations team is the centre of the business — coordinating jobs, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring jobs run efficiently from booking through to completion.
About the Role
This is more than simply answering phones.
You will be responsible for coordinating bookings, allocating trucks, communicating with drivers and customers, preparing quotes, monitoring job progress, and ensuring all job details are entered accurately into the system.
The role requires someone who can confidently prioritise urgent work, adapt quickly to changing schedules, and maintain a professional attitude in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing incoming bookings and customer enquiries
- Preparing quotes and confirming bookings
- Accurate data entry and job management
- Following jobs through from booking to completion
- Assisting with invoicing and job reconciliation
- Assist with scheduling and allocating trucks and drivers efficiently
- Monitoring live jobs and updating customers with ETAs and progress reports
- Communicating with drivers throughout the day to manage job flow
- Working closely with operations and management teams
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in dispatch, transport, logistics, towing, hire equipment or a similar industry preferred
- Strong phone communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good computer skills including Outlook, Excel and booking systems
- Ability to think ahead and solve problems quickly
- Professional, reliable and team-focused attitude
- Experience with towing, tilt trays, machinery transport, EWPs, scissor lifts or similar equipment highly regarded
