Evoenergy is seeking skilled and safety-focused Electrical Fitters to join our Electricity Network team, with five exciting opportunities available across our Ground and Zone Assets team within Network Delivery. We are currently recruiting three Zone Substation Electrical Fitters and two Substation Electrical Fitters to support the construction, maintenance and reliability of critical electricity infrastructure that powers homes, businesses and essential services across the ACT.
These hands-on roles offer the opportunity to work on a diverse range of network assets while contributing to the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers. Whether your expertise lies in high-voltage zone substation equipment and secondary systems or distribution network and grounds assets, you'll play an important role in maintaining and improving Evoenergy's network. Working as part of a highly skilled team, you'll be involved in construction, maintenance, fault response and network improvement activities, with opportunities to develop your capabilities across a broad range of electrical infrastructure and technologies.
About the Opportunites
As a Zone Substation Electrical Fitter you will be required to perform a range of duties involving the construction, maintenance, and repair of Evoenergy’s zone substation equipment including:

Installation, maintenance and inspection of 132kV and 11kV switchgear, power transformers, current transformers (CTs) and voltage transformers (VTs).

Installation of secondary systems including protection relays, SCADA remote terminal units (RTUs) and optical fibre-based Ethernet control system communications networks.

Maintain quality standards with construction work and complete Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
-
Assist and participate in other activities including customer electrical infrastructure testing. electrical testing. and protection scheme maintenance.

Fault response and fault rectification works.

Participate in on-call & shift-work rosters as necessary based on Evoenergy policy.
As a Substation Electrical Fitter you will be required to perform a range of duties involving the construction, maintenance, and repair of Evoenergy’s grounds assets including:

Distribution asset construction and maintenance including cable termination, mini pillar maintenance and switchgear maintenance

Fault response and fault rectification works
-
Participate in on-call & shift-work rosters as necessary based on Evoenergy policy.

Electrical infrastructure testing
-
Other duties within the employee's skill, competence, and training.

About you

Certificate III in Electrotechnology (required).

Previous successful work in field on construction and/or maintenance of network infrastructure (desirable).

High risk license – EWP or Dogging (desirable)

Hold a current ACT motor vehicle licence or equivalent (required), MR/HR (desirable)
