In this role, you will assist the Ranger in Charge to lead field operations and support a team delivering projects across fire, pest, visitor, estate and asset management. You'll help plan and deliver work programs, supervise field activities, coordinate infrastructure maintenance, undertake natural and cultural resource management projects, and support emergency response activities such as wildfire, search and rescue, and natural disaster operations.
The role also includes stakeholder engagement, customer service, compliance activities, reporting and administrative responsibilities. You'll need strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in physically demanding outdoor environments. Experience in conservation, land management, asset management or related fields will be highly regarded, as will relevant qualifications or licences. A current unrestricted manual driver's licence is mandatory. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, leading by example, building relationships and contributing to the protection and enjoyment of Queensland's unique natural and cultural landscapes.
