Step into a high-impact role as an Operational & Compliance Officer, supporting Council’s Waste and Recycling Facilities to deliver efficient, compliant and sustainable operations.
This role combines hands-on project delivery with a strong focus on compliance and best-practice waste management. You will support facility operations through accurate data management, regulatory reporting, and ensuring adherence to environmental and statutory requirements.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

- Strong grasp of environmental compliance and relevant legislation
- Data-driven with solid reporting and analytical skills

- Confident communicator and team collaborator
- Relevant qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering (or related discipline) and a White Card

Application Criteria
- Demonstrated experience delivering operational projects and supporting site activities, including inspections, contractor coordination and procedure implementation.
- Experience applying environmental compliance and relevant legislation in an operational setting.
- Proven ability to analyse data and produce clear, accurate reports to support decision-making.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and provide practical advice to stakeholder.
- Relevant qualification in Civil or Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
