We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented freelance Social Media Manager to support Archetype on a high-profile corporate B2B client account.
You are a confident social media professional with strong judgement, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with complex corporate or technology-led organisations. You understand that this is not a small consumer, lifestyle, or SME social media project. The work requires a mature approach, client-ready communication, and the ability to operate carefully within an established team and approval process.
You know how to identify relevant third-party content, assess whether it is appropriate for a corporate brand to engage with or reshare, and manage the steps required to get content reviewed, approved, and reported on.
This is a freelance role for approximately 10 hours per week over an initial 3-month period, with the option to work remotely or from Archetype’s Surry Hills office.
As a Freelance Social Media Manager, you support the day-to-day management of social media activity for a corporate B2B client. You work closely with the Archetype client team to identify relevant content opportunities, coordinate approvals, and help maintain a consistent, professional social media presence.
You will:
Find, review, and vet relevant posts and content for potential resharing or engagement.
Assess content for brand suitability, tone, relevance, accuracy, and client risk.
Prepare content recommendations for review by the Archetype team and client.
Coordinate approval processes with the client and internal team.
Support day-to-day social media management activity across agreed channels.
Create simple reports and updates on activity, performance, and recommendations.
Track approved, pending, and rejected content to ensure clear workflow management.
Work as part of the wider Archetype account team, taking direction from the Team Lead or client lead.
Bring a strong understanding of B2B, corporate, and high-profile client environments.
Proactively flag issues, risks, or opportunities as they arise.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in social media management, ideally in an agency, corporate, technology, or B2B environment.
Strong experience working with corporate or high-profile client accounts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English.
Strong judgement and the ability to assess whether content is appropriate for a corporate brand.
Experience managing social media approval processes and working with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to produce clear, simple reports and updates for clients and account teams.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Confidence working independently while staying aligned with a broader team.
Ability to manage work efficiently within a limited weekly time allocation.
Familiarity with LinkedIn and other corporate social channels.
A professional, calm, and considered approach to client work.
Experience in B2B technology, corporate communications, financial services, enterprise, or government-related sectors would be highly regarded.
